MNT Clean Room (micro and nanotechnologies)

The micro and nanotechnologies laboratory is a class 1000 clean room for the fabrication of micro and nanoelectronic devices (class 100 in some critical areas).

The Micro and Nanotechnologies (MNT) research group consists of faculty members, researchers, PhD students and technical staff researching the performance and improvement of advanced devices.

The micro and nanotechnologies laboratory is a class 1000 clean room for the fabrication of micro and nanoelectronic devices (class 100 in some critical areas). It is equipped with various equipment for the deposition and growth of materials, as well as two aligners for lithography and device characterisation equipment. The laboratory's research focuses on a variety of areas (photovoltaic solar cells, sensors for planetary exploration, nanoparticles, photonic crystals, micrometre-scale liquid handling technologies, etc.).

The group also has many agreements with technology suppliers and research institutions, as well as a close relationship with industry, and has been deeply involved in technology transfer projects.
