The NewSpace Economy Congress 2022 is here

On 19 and 20 October 2022, La Llotja de Mar in Barcelona will host the ‘NewSpace Economy Congress 2022’. Organised by the Ministry of the Vice-presidency, Digital Policies and Territory and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the event aims to showcase the capabilities of the NewSpace sector to companies willing and able to apply them.

The congress counts with the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya), the Digital Catalonia Alliance (DCA), the i2CAT Foundation, the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC), the KIMbcn Foundation, the International Space University (ISU) and the Barcelona representation of the organisation Women in Aerospace Europe (WiA Europe – BCN) as collaborators.

Under the concept 'Let's turn Barcelona into the centre of the new space economy', the aim of the meeting is to create and develop a business environment focused on the new space economy and an entrepreneurial approach to its applications, foster the local ecosystem and promote its networking, and business generation.

The conference is aimed at the Catalan NewSpace community, companies in the space sector in Spain and Europe, entities investing in space projects, public administrations, and researchers and students related to the space sector, as well as entities related to other digital technologies.
