Solar Eclipse Live

On the occasion of the solar eclipse of March 20, IEEC will participate in various initiatives to bring the astronomical phenomenon to society.

In Barcelona, scientists from the Astronomy and Meteorology Department of Barcelona University (UB) and the Institute of Cosmos Sciences (ICC-UB-IEEC) offer a live web broadcast of the eclipse from the page: http://eclipsi2015.ub.edu/

In addition, there will also be the opportunity to observe the eclipse with a telescope and special glasses from different points of Barcelona:

-In Front of the door of the historic building of the UB (Pl. University).

-At the Space Science Education Fair at Montjuic (requires the entry of the Education Fair)

-For Members of the Faculty of Physics of the UB: Faculty roof.

In Bellaterra, at the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), scientists from the Institute of Space Sciences (IEEC-CSIC) have organized an open day where visitors will be given special glasses to those who wish to follow the eclipse from the roof of the building, plus a telescope to observe the Sun in detail.
