We overview recent developments in the study of radiation in conformal field theories. First, we investigate the angular distribution of radiation, and we show that in conformal field theories that include scalar fields, the radiative energy density is not positive definite, the radiated power depends on the derivative of the acceleration and it is not Lorentz invariant.
We then discuss the coupling dependence of radiation, and we present unified results for conformal field theories with extended supersymmetry. Lastly, as an interesting spin-off of our work, we derive the planar limit of the free energy of N=2 Lagrangian superconformal field theories, to all orders in the 't Hooft coupling.
