The Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC) organises this presentation event of the first call for funding of Phi-LabNET Spain. This new infrastructure dedicated to boosting space innovation within the European Space Agency (ESA) ScaleUp Programme is coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) and will run for a six-year period. The event will be held at CSIC’s press room (Serrano street 113, Madrid 28006).Â
The Phi-LabNET Spain@Barcelona, which was already presented during the recent NewSpace Economy Congress held in Barcelona last October, will be developed by a consortium of prominent entities within the sector—including the FGCSIC itself—which will be dedicated to supporting innovative and disruptive projects with market potential in the field of space technologies and their application to boost climate resilience through a series of funding calls.Â
The first of these funding calls will be presented during this event scheduled for 27 November which will count with two IEEC representatives: Pepa Sedó, head of the IEEC’s Office of Development and Innovation (ODIN)—and main coordinator of Phi-LabNET Spain—and Josep Colomé, director of the Area for the Promotion of the Space Sector of Catalonia (APEC) at the IEEC.
Phi-LabNET Spain@Barcelona is supported by the Spanish Space Agency (AEE) and the Government of Catalonia.
