New call for projects from the space pre-accelerator, ‘Aterrem l’Espai’!

‘Aterrem l’Espai‘ is a 3-month pre-acceleration programme for opportunities arising from the new space economy, which combines online and in-person training, mentoring, and networking sessions. Accelerated projects will be able to identify a business opportunity based on space technology, validate it with the market, and present it to the ecosystem.

The programme is mainly aimed at entrepreneurs with the following profiles

• Technological profiles: students or professionals in a technological sector (not necessarily aerospace), with entrepreneurial vocation.
• Professionals with a business profile, who are exploring high-return markets to lead a new project and want to have basic knowledge of the space sector to identify windows of opportunity.
• Final year students of any discipline.
• Knowledge transfer managers of universities and research centres.
• Companies from other technological sectors with the potential to become partners in the Space sector.

Entrepreneurs interested in participating may submit their applications until 31 May 2024.

This initiative is managed by the KIMbcn Foundation, promoted by the Department of Business and Work of the Government of Catalonia with co-financing from the European Union and has the technical support of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya).

With 12 pre-accelerated projects already, ‘Aterrem l’Espai’ works as a pre-acceleration lever within the framework of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, optimizing the possibilities of its projects being incubated, accelerated, and financed in the Catalan NewSpace ecosystem.
