masters – Modeling of cadmium telluride (CdTe) pixel detector

Requisits: The student must have expertise in numerical simulations and a minimun knowledge in Finite Element Method and/or Monte Carlo Methods.
Descripció: The student will collaborate with the EXPLOMEV project to develop a Compton Camera composed of silicon (Si) and cadmium telluride (CdTe) semiconductor detectors. The main goal of the modeling is to simulated the charge transport and charge sharing in a CdTe pixel detectors. A validation of the model will be possible through the measures being carried out in the laboratory of the institute with a prototype of CdTe pixel detector.
