The Leonardo Grants are intended to support personal projects of researchers and cultural creators in intermediate stages of their career, between 30 and 45 years, that stand out due to a significant scientific, technological or cultural production. The Leonardo program, created by the BBVA Foundation in 2014, contributes to the generation of knowledge in a wide range of fields, from basic research, biomedicine, the environment and the development of technological applications, to the social sciences, humanities, music and literature. The specific destination of the grant admits a great flexibility, adapting to the concrete needs of each project, being able to be developed within a period of 12-18 months.
