The Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) and the Generalitat de Catalunya opened the call for the selection of the payload as an in-orbit technology demonstrator (IOD) which will be embarked on the new Earth Observation low orbit satellite mission (GENEO-02) tendered by the IEEC last August in the framework of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia.
This call for IOD selection will bring companies, organizations or research centres based in Catalonia the opportunity to present one of its innovative technologies in order to be integrated into the platform of this new satellite, with the aim of validating it in orbit, accelerate its introduction into the market or demonstrate its additional capabilities.
The chosen technology will join the main Earth Observation payload and the secondary IoT payload of the satellite.
Companies, entities or research centres interested in participating in the call may submit their proposals until 4 March 2024, at 14.00 h (Catalan time).
GENEO-02 mission will give continuity to Menut mission in the framework of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya with the collaboration of the IEEC, the i2CAT Foundation and the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC).
