The first call for funding promoted by Phi-LabNET Spain has been presented
The presentation of the first call for funding of the Phi-LabNET Spain took place this morning at the headquarters of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones CientÃficas (CSIC).
Representatives of companies and entities of the space sector were present to get detailed information about the possibilities that the Phi-LabNET Spain, located in Barcelona and coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), can offer to support innovative and disruptive projects in the field of space technologies and their application to boost climate resilience.
The Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC), a member of the Phi-Lab Spain consortium, has been the entity in charge of organizing a day that began with the participation of Ramón Torrecillas, director of the FGCSIC and José MarÃa Martell, CSIC’s vice-president for scientific and technical research.
Among the speakers were Josep Colomé, director of the Area for the Promotion of the Space Sector of Catalonia (APEC) at the IEEC; Diego RodrÃguez Gómez, representative of the Space Commission of the Spanish Association of Defence, Security, Aeronautics and Space Technology Companies (TEDAE); Juan Carlos Cortés, general director of the Spanish Space Agency (AEE), Pepa Sedó, head of the Development and Innovation Office (ODIN) at the IEEC, Jorge Cabero Zumalacárregu, director of innovation of the FGCSIC and Noelia Sánchez-Ortiz and Luis MartÃn, co-founders and general directors of Arribes, one of the consortium’s partners.
The Phi-LabNET Spain is a new infrastructure devoted to boost space innovation that has the support of the European Space Agency (ESA), the Generalitat de Catalunya and a consortium of leading entities in the space sector.
