HIGHLIGHTED PICTURE
On 19 March 2025, the European Space Agency’s Euclid mission released the first batch of data from its survey, including a preview of its deep fields. Among the thousands of objects in the ‘north field’, 3,000 light-years away, is the Cat’s Eye Nebula. The nebula’s clouds and gas are in blue, while different image processing techniques highlight other aspects of this structure shaped by stellar winds and radiation coming from the central star.
