The IEEC inaugurates the celebration of its 25th anniversary with a Tandem of scientific couples from public and private entities
Next Saturday, 6 February 2021, the Institute for Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC  — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) celebrates the 25th anniversary of its creation in 1996. To commemorate this milestone, the institute has prepared a series of proposals in the coming months. Adapting to the pandemic times, we have ahead of us a programme full of activities that will be carried out mainly in virtual format.

To inaugurate the celebration of this anniversary, we begin the first of a series of "Tandems of scientific couples: public and private entities" with the conversation "Future prospects of space science", next Monday 8 February at 6:30 pm.

The director of IEEC and researcher at the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE, CSIC), Dr. Ignasi Ribas, and Monica Roca, founder and director of the company isardSAT and vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, will talk with the scientific journalist of the newspaper Ara, Toni Pou, about the most ambitious space research projects today, the "health" of the academic and industrial network of the space sector in Catalonia, the situation of NewSpace in our territory, in Spain and internationally… and much more!

The conversation can be followed live through the IEEC YouTube channel.
