ESA Phi-Lab NET Spain: first call for project funding

The Digital Catalonia Alliance (DCA), an initiative promoted by the Government of Catalonia through the Secretariat of Digital Policies of the Department of Business and Labour and i2CAT, is organising, with the collaboration of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya), an online event to present the ESA Phi-LabNET Spain and the first call for project funding.

The webinar will be held on Tuesday 10 December, from 10.00 to 11.15 am. The event will present the project, explain how the funding calls work and answer questions from the audience.

ESA Phi-LabNET Spain is the centre of competence located in Barcelona to drive innovation for the commercialisation of space technologies in the field of climate resilience. This new infrastructure is part of the ScaleUp Programme of the European Space Agency (ESA), and is coordinated by the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), as leader of a consortium formed by i2CAT, the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC), the Fundación General CSIC, the Fundación KIMbcn, ARRIBES Enlightenment, the Universitat de València (UVEG), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC-CNS), the Ricardo Valle Institute of Innovation (IRV), the ESA MELiSSA Pilot Plant, located at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO).

ESA Phi-LabNET Spain, located in the RDIT building of the Mediterranean Technology Park in Castelldefels (Barcelona), home of the IEEC and ESA-BIC Barcelona, will support innovative and disruptive projects through calls led by the winning consortium of the proposal.

ESA Phi-LabNET Spain is also supported by the Spanish Space Agency (AEE) and the Government of Catalonia.
