The NewSpace Conference series begins with ‘Earth Observation Opportunities’
The Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC — Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya) collaborates with the NewSpace Conference Series, a group of virtual talks organised by the Ministry of the Vice-presidency, Digital Policies and Territory of the Catalan Government and I2Cat Foundation.

On 5 November, the session "Opportunities for Earth Observation" will analyze the potential benefits of NewSpace technologies related to this field. Josep Colomé, head of the IEEC Knowledge Transfer Office, will participate in the talk.

Throughout the session, use cases will be explained where NewSpace Earth Observation can provide great value (in particular, the control of vegetation, soil moisture or distribution and density of forest masses) and successful business experiences in the field will be shared among the participants.

The Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC) and the company Open Cosmos, both having a prominent role in this sector in Catalonia, collaborate in the event too.

The event can be followed live on YoutubeCheck out the programme here.

The second session of the series is entitled "Opportunities for Global IoT Connectivity" and will be held on 11 November.
